There are many properties in Deep Creek Lake to choose from so you may ask what makes this property different from all the others available?  The answer is ME.  I pride myself in creating and maintaining the best properties at the lake with an attention to detail that you will not find in other rentals.  I'm not a rental agency that has too many houses and an inability or lack of interest in maintaining the property to it's pinnacle.  I believe it takes a "hands on" approach to keep the wear and tear of being a rental from dragging the property down and disappointing renters.  I do my own maintenance and I do it often.  I also believe in making a property more than 4 walls and a roof.  I outfit the property in such a way as to make sure you know you have rented a quality property, please view the What's New page to see the improvements I have been making.  You almost need to stay at other properties before mine to really appreciate the difference that a hands on, proactive home owner makes.

This property was not rented before I purchased it so it isn't applicable for me to tell you all I have done to maintain it as compared to a house maintained by a rental agency but I can refer you to my other property which was maintained by 2 of the main rental agencies at the lake so that you can see the difference that a home owner who cares can make.  Please see http://www.skiandglee.com/whychooseskiglee.htm for details.

On that note, here are the amenities that I feel stand out at Big Timber...

Big Timber does have a private dock on the navigable portion of the lake.  The lake in front of Big Timber is cut off from the main portion of the lake by US 219 which is what gives it it's own private piece of the lake.  The private dock is located across the street where you can dock your own boat or a boat you have rented from the numerous marinas.  You can also fish and swim from the dock in 6-8 foot water in a no wake zone cove.

I did my best to create a real man cave!  I installed 7 full size arcade video games all set to free play, a 9' shuffleboard, 8' movie screen with stadium seating, an HD 720p video projector with DirecTV HD receiver, XBox 360 connected to it, 5.1 surround sound with powered sub woofer and a bar to stand/sit at.

Big Timber, along with my other 2 properties Cloud 10 and Ski & Glee, are the only properties at the lake with their very own private mini-golf courses!  This is a challenging course that I built to provide you with entertainment far beyond a simple easy hole in one on every hole course.  Have family competitions every day for free!  See the photo gallery for pics of the entire course.  Balls, putters, score cards and pencils are provided.

These were designed with the specifications of regulation horseshoe pits and have carpeted pitcher's box, backboards and hard covers with ladies extensions.  The extensions allow smaller players like ladies and children who can not necessarily throw a horseshoe the full 40', to complete and enjoy the game at a lesser distance.  The covers prevent contamination from leaves/grass and water and really keep the sand pits pristine!  Enjoy a relaxing game of horseshoes while enjoying the fresh air on top of the mountain.  A rake and brush is also kept at the property to keep the sand pits and pitchers box ready for game after game.

The view at Big Timber is awesome!  It sits on it's own private portion of the lake with no other houses.  The water glistens and has a mirror finish that will inspire you.  It is directly across from the ski slopes at WISP and so you can see the slopes lit up at night all winter long.

This is such a phenomenal amenity that I have to highlight it separately.  Located on the waterfront with glistening mirror like water at night, tiki torches lit, fire blazing and everyone sitting comfortably around the fire on the built in bench seating, this pit  creates a mesmerizing experience!  This is one of my favorite spots on the property.

Big Timber has a new Hot Springs hot tub with multi color LED lighting that makes for some interesting relaxation!  Rain or shine, you can enjoy the hot tub as it sits on the deck under a mammoth vaulted roof where you get a great view of the water and of the ski slopes lit up in the winter

Movie night?  Well I have provided 600+ recent streamable movies that can be watched on any of tv's through the XBoxs and smart tvs.  I update the streamable movies every month which usually adds 5-10 movies a month.  These are movies that just came out on DVD and you may have just missed in the theaters!  I also create a nice movie catalog for the 600+ movies that lists the movies alphabetically in categories such as New Releases, Movie Collections, Westerns, Chick Flicks etc. that has photos of the dvd cover, synopsis', running times and user ratings.

In addition, the living room tv and the smart tvs can also view all the content from Amazon instant video that comes with the prime membership.  If you have a Netflix account, you can view all the content from there as well.

 I found Directv to be far superior in selection than the alternative cable.  I have HD programming along with the extended package giving you access to great programming from The Discovery channel, Science Channel, Military Channel, Spike TV, Comedy Central, TBS, The History channel etc.  There are channel guides on the coffee tables showing the channel numbers of all networks for your convenience. 

I can not emphasize this enough, privacy is a huge amenity to look for!  Many houses are in a subdivision where you can see and hear your neighbors even when you do not want to.  Lakefront property is so expensive that houses are stacked almost touching each other along the shoreline.  Big Timber sits on it's own private drive with  no neighbors and it's own private piece of lakefront.  You can not see any neighbors and that gives you privacy that other houses just can't do anything about.  They either have it or they don't!  When the rental agencies rent out the property next to you to a group of college kids, that's when you will appreciate that privacy!
